I got to the 7th Battalion 8th Artillery the end of September or Oct 1st, 1966. Trained and shipped over to ‘Nam and was infused into the 1st of the 83rd in August of 1967 and came home in June of 1968. I made Sergeant (E5) as soon as we hit ‘Nam.
